Girls had a great day playing with Maddie and Lauren at their house, and were sad we had to leave a bit early, because I have a stomach bug and wasn't feeling great. After a nap I am feeling much better and had a fun night watching them play on their new xbox kinnect.

We had a great Christmas this year.  We are now in Colorado relaxing and enjoying the holidays with Tony's family.  The girls got way too many presents, but loved them all none the less.  Makenna's favorite was her Kindle Fire from papa Adams, Aubrey's was her "American Girl" doll Lilly Anna, from Mommy and Daddy. I am looking forward to 2012, and hope that a move to Colorado is finally in our future.  Despite Tony's recent job loss, I remind myself everyday how blessed I am for my two amazing little girls. I truly adore them!

Took the girls, and we went and met baby Kane for the first time.  Sweet little boy!  Then the girls and I drove through Candy Cane lane, another first for us!

Let Makenna stay up later tonight, we listened to Taylor Swift on Youtube and she made Christmas cards.  Aubrey was in bed, and Tony asked if the music was bothering her and she replayed "no I like it", clearly it was a bit too loud.  She stayed awake in her bed until almost 10, talking to herself and occasionally coming out to go potty and tell me "Mom, I'm going to stay awake until I fall asleep". That is now her bedtime motto:)

Busy day spent on Christmas presents.  Finished painting a desk I bought and re-finished for Makenna, made Candy Cane playdough and fudge for the girls to give to their friends as gifts.  The fudge is Kid-worthy at best;)

Today I took both my girls to The Nutcracker.  It was Aubrey's first time and she was very antsy, telling me several times that she was "tired of watching it".  Makenna loved it, and her infectious giggle was the highlight of the program for me:)  Overall great day!  We are all getting very excited for Christmas, the girls and I love to peek at presents; look for our name on the package, feel it, shake it etc!

My daily Journal

I am obviously very bad at keeping up with this blog, since it has been over a year since I have posted anything.  Therefore, I am going to use this more as a daily journal with simple thoughts of the day. Hopefully with less pressure to post so much of my day or week, I write more often, even if only a sentance:)
